What is the seating capacity in any of the Dairy theaters?
The Boedecker Cinema seats 70
The Carsen Theater seats 70 - 99 (depending on the show and seating plan)
The Grace Gamm Theater seats 116
The Gordon Gamm Theater seats 250
Is there parking available at the Dairy Arts Center?
Yes, there is a parking lot located along the north/west side of the building that is accessible from Walnut St. There is also an overflow parking lot located across the street at 2505 Walnut St. available on nights and weekends as well as limited free street parking on 26th St.
There are handicap parking spaces available in the parking lot as well as a drop off zone at the front of the building (26th St.) where there is ramp leading up to the front entrance.
What time should I arrive for my show?
We recommend arriving 30 minutes prior to curtain time to provide ample time for parking and locating your theater. Doors generally open about 30 minutes prior to showtime for seating.
Will I be able to purchase food and beverage before my show?
The Polk Cafe offers a variety of light sandwiches and salads as well as beverages. Menu may vary based on availability. Please check here for menu and hours.
Please note that no food may enter our live performance theaters: The Gordon Gamm Theater, The Grace Gamm Drama Theater, and The Carsen Theater. Beverages are welcome.

As long as you have not been locked out of your account for attempting too many invalid logins, you may reset your password through the Dairy website by clicking "forgot your password?" under your account login.

Do I need an account in order to purchase tickets?
In order to purchase tickets online, we require you to create an account. If you would like to purchase tickets over the phone or in person, a name and some contact information may be required.
I am a BETC Subscriber. How do I reserve tickets?
You can reserve BETC subscriber tickets over the phone and in person at the Hartman Box Office or on our website. To reserve online, please first sign in to your account by clicking "My Account" (top right on our home page). Once you are successfully logged in, please select your desired show from the theatre performances tab or the calendar on the home page and click "buy." Once you have selected seats from the seating chart, you will be able to, you will be able to select the subscriber pricing tier at $0.00 and finish your transaction. I am a Dairy Arts Center member, but I do not see a member price type for the show I am interested in.
In order for our online ordering system to recognize you as a member, you must first be logged in to your online account. Please click on "My Account" near the top right of the home page to log in. Once you are logged in to your account, you may confirm your current membership by clicking on "memberships" in the left side menu of your account. Current members who are logged into their accounts can proceed to order tickets and use the member price type when applicable. Member discounts are currently only available for the Dairy Arts Center cinema program and Dairy Center produced live shows. To view a list of upcoming Dairy produced events, please click here.
I purchased tickets but I cannot find a record of them in my email.
Please check with the Hartman Box Office on the status of your order. Tickets may be placed at will call for pick up or emailed directly. Email tickets will appear as an attachment to the confirmation email you recieved at the time of purchase. Please check your spam and promotions folders to ensure that you did not recieve your tickets there. If you did not recieve your tickets, we are able to resend them.
Do I need to print out my emailed tickets?
If you have a smartphone that can open a PDF attachment, you will not need to print your tickets and we can scan the barcode from your phone when you arrive. Otherwise, you will need to print your tickets and bring them with you. Please note that the Boedecker cinema tickets do not need to be printed. You will be checked in under your name when you arrive at the cinema.
I cannot attend my show. Am I able to refund or exchange my tickets?
Ticket exchanges may be available dependent of the show. All exchanges must be made prior to the performance you are unable to attend. Please call the Hartman Box Office to see if an exchange may be made. Exchange fees may apply.
All ticket sales are final. The Dairy Arts Center does not offer refunds. Please review the Hartman Box Office Ticketing Terms and Conditions for more details.
Is there a service fee for ticket purchases?
A service fee will be applied to your ticket purchase over the phone and online. Service fees vary depending on the ticket price. There is no service fee for in person purchases at the Hartman Box Office. Please note there is no service fee for Boedecker cinema tickets online or over the phone. Service fees are waived for Dairy produced performances for current Dairy Arts Center members.
Can I purchase tickets for the Boedecker cinema at the Hartman Box Office?
Yes, you may purchase advance cinema tickets at the Hartman Box Office as well as cinema tickets at the door during box office hours.
What do the green, yellow, and red dots mean next to a performance?
When purchasing tickets, you may note the color coding system next to the "buy" button indicating the availability of tickets for that particular performance or event. Green indicates that there are a substantial number of tickets available for the event. Yellow indicates a liminted number of tickets. And red indicates that tickets are scarce, but still available. When a performance is truly sold out, it will say so in place of the "buy" button.
What are the gallery hours? Is there a charge to visit the galleries?
Monday - Friday: 10 - 6 or later
Saturday: 12 - 7:30 or later
Sunday: 12 - 5:30 or later
(Gallery hours are subject to change. Galleries remain open each day until the last performance or film ends)
There is a $5 requested donation for visiting our galleries which can be processed by cash, check or credit at the Hartman Box Office.

What are the Hartman Box Office hours?
The Hartman Box Office is open 10:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-7:30pm Saturday, 12:00pm-5:30pm Sunday and one hour prior to performances outside of regular working hours.
Does the Dairy Arts Center offer hearing assist?
We have assistive listening systems in each of our live performance venues as well as the cinema. You can get them at the Hartmann Box Office. We ask that you leave your ID when we check one out to you. We can offer earbud headphones or an inductive neckloop if you have a compatible hearing aid with a t-coil and do not use a pacemaker. We cannot recommend the use a neckloop if you have a pacemaker. You may bring in your own headphones to use if you have a pair that you own.
Does the Dairy provide ADA compliant seating in its theaters?
Yes, we have reserved seats for those with ADA compliant needs and specific wheelchair seating in all three live performance theaters as well as the Boedecker Theater. Please call the Hartman Box Office with specifice requests so we can best assist you in reserving the correct seating.
Are there Dairy Arts Center gift cards available for purchase?
Unfortunately, no. We are only able to process orders for specific show times at the listed ticket price. Those looking to give an arts related gift may want to consider a Dairy Arts Center membership. Click here for more information .
Are there Dairy Arts Center memberships available?
The Dairy offers both a full Dairy Arts Center and Boedecker Cinema membership at individual and dual levels on an annual basis. Any events with special subscription options or bundled ticket packages may be found here.
I am interested in dance or music lessons for myself of my child.

What is located nearby in terms of food and shopping?
The Dairy is only a short distance from the Twenty Ninth Street Mall as well as the The Village Shopping Center.
