Wednesday, September 27th: Shake, Schimmel, and Shout!
A special concert dedicated to the Dairy’s new 7’ semi-concert grand Schimmel piano and the versatile nature of this fine instrument! The concert will begin featuring the collaborative nature of the piano paired with movement as Tobias Tenenbaum performs one of his original piano composition with members of 3rd Law and Objectivity Dance. In the heart of the program, Hsing-ay Hsu will showcase the instrument’s solo capacity performing traditional 19th century piano works. Closing the evening will be a jazz number led by Venezuelan jazz pianist Victor Mestas with jazz vocalist Elena Camerin Young and bassist Bill McCrossen.
   
Thursday, October 26th: A Tour of Italy
The internationally acclaimed guitar virtuosos, SoloDuo, have been regarded as one of the best ensembles ever heard. The Washington Post raves that “...the duo’s playing was nothing less than rapturous - profound and unforgettable musicianship of the highest order.” As SoloDuo, Matteo Mela and Lorenzo Micheli have performed throughout Europe, Asia, the USA, Canada and Latin America in prestigious venues including New York’s Carnegie Hall, Seoul’s Sejong Chamber Hall, Kiev’s Hall of Columns, to Vienna’s Konzerthaus. Having extensively explored Italian music from the XVII and XVIII century for baroque guitar and theorbo, SoloDuo has released multiple records including a disc of 17th Century Italian music, Arias and Cantatas by Alessandro Scarlatti, an anthology of 20th Century masterpieces for two guitars, among many others. SoloDuo has been the Artists in Residence at the University of Colorado Boulder.
   
Thursday, November 2nd: Dia de los Muertos
Altars! Skulls! Art exhibits! Tons of great music! This concert is a collaboration with the Dairy's Visual Arts department resulting in a festive evening of original artwork, altars, and great music. 
This event includes access to the art exhibits all evening, a musical celebration featuring Latin American music, and participation in voting for the “People’s Choice” favorite altar. Bring your families, friends and neighbors to experience this holiday event for all ages!
